Personal Trainer Insurance Scheme

Worldwide Sports Insurance (WWSI) is very excited to announce a partnership with the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers (AIPT) to provide insurance to their graduates and qualified personal trainers. The insurance scheme will provide public liability and professional indemnity insurance to all students that gain their personal trainer qualification with AIPT from November 1st, 2008.

The scheme will also be open to other personal trainers that are current members of the AIPT. All you need is a qualification as a personal trainer and a membership with the AIPT and you can get access to the most competitive personal trainer insurance package in the market.

Summary of Cover:


Public Liability   $10,000,000 any once occurrence
Professional Indemnity $5,000,000 in total during the policy period
Excess: Nil

The Cost:

The policy runs for 12 months from the date payment is made and costs $103.95 including GST and stamp duty.

Payment can be made by credit card, cheque or EFT.

Scope of Cover:

Cover is provided for those activities for which you are qualified. So if you only have the qualifications to run group exercise then you are insured for those activities. If you also have the credentials to train people one on one then this would also be insured.

The policy does not cover:

  • Activities for which you are not qualified
  • Anyone working for you
  • Commercial fitness centres or personal training studios
  • Property cover, theft and the like
  • Liability assumed under contract unless agreed in writing by us

How to apply:

All you need to do is complete the application form (click here to download) and return it to Worldwide Sports Insurance (details on the form). WWSI will verify your membership with the AIPT and then provide you with a certificate of insurance within 24 hours of payment being made.
